Retribution Part II The group of three approached what seemed to be nothing more than a small junkyard on the rim of a mountain. Scrap had been collected from all over the surrounding area and had been deposited there years ago, and no one had ever managed to find the time to put the metal to good use. Now that Queen Lillian had effectively banished a third of the population into the area simply known as the Badlands, the chances of any official recycling activities plummeted even more, as there was no reason to take scrap from here as long as there were the mines in the northeast of the Safe Zone, the area where “normal” people lived. Retribution Part I The meeting took place in the Great Hall of the Queen’s Palace, an impressive edifice that towered over the rest of the city on a hilltop, quite effectively shielded from any traffic by several dozen meters of thin forest in all directions, plus a stone wall with electric fence as well as guards patrolling the area.
